Who do you want to be?

Lorianne explores Boston

I’m Dr. Lorianne DiSabato, and I believe you have the power to realize your deepest dreams.

Whether you dream of writing a novel, finishing your doctorate, taking singing lessons, or living a full, vibrant life, I believe you can bring these dreams to fruition. The question isn’t whether you can live the life of your dreams; the question is when will you get started?

Since 1993, I’ve been teaching writing and literature to college and adult-education students, and since 1989, I’ve practiced Zen meditation. My experience as a writer, college instructor, and Zen teacher has corroborated my belief that humans are inately curious and creative creatures. We want to be active and alive in our world: we want to use our talents to enrich the lives of other people. This is what it means to be human, and it’s our individual birthright.

You can learn more about me on my academic website or by reading my daily weblog, Hoarded Ordinaries. But instead of focusing on me and my credentials, why not ask yourself a simple yet powerful question: “Who do you want to be, and what’s holding you back?” Stop standing in the way of your own dreams.
